The rest of the Trust Center covers your data and your rights. This page covers the software itself — the rules the interface has to follow, including the ones that constrain what we are allowed to personalize.
The platform should not sit between people and music. It should remove the distance.
Every feature, surface, and partnership either makes the connection more direct or adds a layer to it. There is no neutral change. When a decision is close, pick the one that removes distance.
These are not aspirations. They are the constraints our own product specification puts on every surface we ship, published here so you can hold us to them.
Fan, musician, and pro are layers of context — not separate accounts or siloed products.
What that means for you: You never get pushed into a second account, and no part of your history is stranded in a product you stopped using.
Evolution changes presentation, never the meaning or authoritative state of an object.
What that means for you: A release, an event, or a purchase means the same thing no matter what the interface looks like when you open it.
Neither Evolution nor Forge may expose or execute anything the user is not authorized to do.
What that means for you: Nothing personalized — and nothing our AI does on your behalf — can reach data or take an action you were not already allowed to.
Team members and users understand what they can do — not our package graph or route taxonomy.
What that means for you: You should never have to learn our internal structure to find the thing you came for.
SceneTown ships more than one version of its interface. That is normal for modern software and usually invisible; here it is disclosed. You can see which version you are on and how to leave it, and a version change can only affect presentation — never what an object means, what you own, or what you are permitted to do.
The same limit binds our AI features: they may help you do things you are already authorized to do, and they cannot grant themselves authority you do not have. How AI handles your data is covered in AI & Provenance.
If the product breaks one of these rules, that is a bug and we want to hear about it. Use our reporting channel or email vibes@scenetown.com. For what we collect and how to get it back, see Privacy and Data Rights.
